On the 31st July, 2007 the DRC announced the restoration of 4 D’ni Guilds, including the Guild of Maintainers. It was envisioned that the maintainers would be responsible for inspection new areas before they became accessible to explorers at large and they would always be the first explorers to enter a new area or Age.

The Guild held elections for several positions in November, 2007, although the leaders stepped down in 2009.

As of October, 2021 the Guild has no official forums or websites and is currently inactive.

Maintainer Activities

As of 2020 there is currently no approval process carried out by a Guild of Maintainers, although safety inspections are routinely carried out on a volunteer basis by explorers, with reports compiled to explorer restorers who then address the safety concerns raised.
