Below is a summary of events relating to the D’ni, both before and after their fall, including the human restoration of their city and the various Ages.

Before the Fall

  • 7655 BC
    • Religion is imported into D’ni with the Ronay people.
  • 7608 BC
    • Construction of the Great Temple begins.
  • 7593 BC
    • Construction of the Great Temple finishes.
  • 7058 BC
    • Design of the King’s Arch begins
  • 7056 BC
    • Construction of the King’s Arch begins.
  • 7031 BC
    • Construction of the King’s Arch finishes.
  • 7013 BC
    • Construction on the Temple of the Great King finishes after many years.
  • 6843 BC
    • King Veesha enacts many strict laws based on his religious beliefs in regards to marriage, adultery, oaths and vows.
  • 6682 BC
    • King Veesha claims that Yahvo will heal his son Mararon who enters a deep coma and remains true to this conviction despite protests from two prophets from the Church of Yahvo.
  • 6656 BC
    • King Mararon revokes many of King Veesha’s strict laws that were based on Veesha’s religious beliefs.
  • 6497 BC
    • The various sects begin to make their causes known among the common people.
  • 6353 BC
    • A writer mysteriously vanishes from the Guild of Writers a few days before book and ink disappear from the Guild of Books and Guild of Inks. The Judges of Yahvo also become quite well known.
  • 6336 BC
    • The Judges of Yahvo write the Pento description book.
  • 6333 BC
    • Judges from the Judges of Yahvo attack the D’ni palace with aid from Pento warriors which begins the Pento War on the day that Ahlsendar is born
  • 6304 BC
    • King Koreen is murdered by Judges and the Judges of Yahvo assume control of the D’ni government.
  • 6280 BC
    • Ahlsendar leads a force into Pento and helps Mekarr win the civil war, thus ending the Pento War ends. The leaders of the Judges of Yahvo are sent to Prison Ages.
  • 6190 BC
    • Mekarr kills Ahlsendar’s wife and is later killed by Ahlsendar before Ahlsendar’s plague is released.
  • 6155 BC
    • Ahlsendar locks himself in the Temple of the Great King with a number of linking and description books.
  • 6154 BC
    • The Temple of the Great King is renamed the Tomb of the Great King.
  • 6136 BC
    • Nemiya writes The Book of Nemiya
  • 6129 BC
    • Nemiya vanishes.
  • 5921 BC
    • King Solath marries Jolatha who is a member of The Tree religion against the advice of his prophet .
  • 5839 BC
    • King Me’erta proposes the construction of the Temple of the Tree along a new line from the Great Zero.
  • 5813 BC
    • The Temple of the Tree is built.
  • 5754 BC
    • New religions begin forming.
  • 5586 BC
    • The amount of people turning to numerous religions and sects begins to increase.
  • 5156 BC
    • The largest number of registered religious sects is recorded with the number totaling over 2500. King Naygen also suggests a new Council chamber for the Guilds be built over the Tomb of the Great King.
  • 5154 BC
    • Construction on the new Council chamber begins.
  • 5152 BC
    • Construction on the new Council chamber finishes.
  • 4656 BC
    • Tevahr is born.
  • 4591 BC
    • Tevahr begins speaking publicly and quickly gathers a following.
  • 4579 BC
    • For the first time, Tevahr criticizes the D’ni government for not adhering to the teachings of Yahvo.
  • 4575 BC
    • Tevahr become’s King Rakeri’s main prophet.
  • 4556 BC
    • There are only 47 registered sects, with most D’ni following the teachings of the Church of Yahvo.
  • 4544 BC
    • King Rakeri announces extensive renovations for the Great Temple.
  • 4438 BC
    • Tevahr dies.
  • 4234 BC
    • Hailesi writes The Lost Son.
  • 3322 BC
    • The Watcher is rumored to be born in this year.
  • 3216 BC
    • D’ni religion shows signs of beginning to fracture into more separate cults and religions.
  • 3156 BC
    • The Watcher writes Words.
  • 3154 BC
    • Against his prophet’s advice, King Ji marries Milane.
  • 3129 BC
    • King Ji divorces Milane.
  • 3091 BC
    • King Ji supposedly marries the daughter of the Watcher.
  • 3050 BC
    • The Watcher dies.
  • 3011 BC
    • King Ji’s wife dissapears under mysterious circumstances.
  • 2964 BC
    • King Demath denounces the Watcher as a lonely man who only sought attention.
  • 2872 BC
    • Goshen is leading the Blood of Yahvo sect.
  • 2841 BC
    • Goshen is imprisoned on a prison Age.
  • 2791 BC
    • Goshen is released and the Blood of Yahvo kill King Yableshan’s son. The religious sects grow in power.
  • 2702 BC
    • The One D’ni set off an explosion on Meanas that kills 400 outsiders and 78 D’ni.
  • 2575 BC
    • King Emen takes the throne and the religious sects’ power diminishes in large part due to Guild Master Faresh of the Guild of Illusions.
  • 2554 BC
    • Interest rises in the Watcher’s Words, beginning a new resurgence of religions and sects.
  • 2116 BC
    • The role of prophet to the king begins to grow in power.
  • 2082 BC
    • Gish begins preaching.
  • 1981 BC
    • The Relyimah kill Gish as instructed by King Adesh, resulting in extreme outcry from the Church of Yahvo.
  • 1226 BC
    • Violent groups and sects willingly become part of the Followers of Yahvo.
  • 925 BC
    • Although there aren’t a lot of religions and sects, no sect has a clear majority among the D’ni populace as its followers.
  • 686 BC
    • Construction begins on a new Guild Hall, burying the Tomb of the Great King even further.
  • 679 BC
    • Most people claim to be Followers of Yahvo.

After the Fall

  • 1756
    • Gehn returns to D’ni and begins restoring it.
  • 1770
    • Gehn returns to the Cleft and takes Atrus to D’ni to help him restore it.
  • 1811
    • Atrus and Katran link to Averone in order to seek help in reaching D’ni.
  • 1814
    • Atrus returns to D’ni and begins gathering the D’ni to begin restoring the city. They eventually abandon the idea.
  • 1987
    • John Loftin discovers D’ni
  • 1990
    • Dr Watson’s first expedition to D’ni
  • 1992
    • Last year D’ni is completely uninhabited
  • 1997
    • January: The D’ni Restoration Council is formed.
    • 14 November: Douglas Sharper is assigned control over Teledahn.
  • 1998
    • 15 February: A cache of journals and notes are found in Teledahn by Douglas Sharper. Restoration Engineer Sam is assigned the task of translating them to English.
    • 3 March: Shroomie is first sighted by Douglas Sharper
    • April: Sam is removed from the translation of the Teledahn documents and more about shroomies is discovered.
    • August: Cyan expedition to D’ni.
    • September: Douglas Sharper begins work on the tower in Teledahn.
    • 1 October: Nick begins working on translating the Teledahn documents.
    • 5 October: Restoration work on the tower in Teledahn is completed.
  • 1999
    • Major expedition brings needed machinery and tools to City.
    • 7 January: Work on the Teledahn pump begins.
    • 4 February: Work on the Teledahn pump finishes.
  • 2000
    • Restoration is started on The Island (Ae’gura).
    • March: DRC headquarters is moved to Ae’gura.
    • April: Work on the cars and elevator in Teledahn begins.
    • 25 May: Sharper returns from the surface with parts needed to complete work on cars and elevator in Teledahn.
    • 28 May: Sharper discovers a linking book.
    • 15 June: Work on the cars in Teledahn is finished.
    • 2 July: Work on the elevator in Teledahn is finished.
    • August: Work begins on the lights in Teledahn.
    • 21 September: Sharper traps a shroomie in the lagoon.
    • 22 September: Sharper kills the trapped shroomie and sinks the carcass after extracting certain parts.
    • 31 October: Sharper completes work on the walkways in Teledahn.
  • 2001
    • June: Sharper begins work on installing a mining gun on the Teledahn docks.
    • 30 June: Sharper completes work on the mining gun in Teledahn but it is not operational.
    • August: DRC discovers the first of the neighbourhoods.
    • October: Work begins on the D’ni neighbourhood. Sharper begins to study flappers from Teledahn.
    • 2 November: Victor discovers a KI.
    • 3 November: DRC requests the mining gun be removed from Teledahn.
    • 5 November: Sharper discovers a linking book to an office in D’ni (subsequently known as the “Baron’s Office”).
    • 22 November: Sharper begins work on Ahnonay.
  • 2002
    • DRC allows first authorised explorers to visit D’ni and a few Ages.
    • January: DRC celebrates five year anniversary with opening of neighbourhood.
  • 2003
    • Zandi convinces the DRC to let numerous people into D’ni
  • 2004
    • The gates to D’ni are closed due to a lack of funding.
  • 2005
    • In December Laxman approaches the other DRC members about returning to D’ni.
  • 2006
    • The DRC open the gates to D’ni once more.
  • 2007
    • Cate introduces herself to the Explorers.
